What’s new in Firefox 3 Release Candidate

Mozilla has released the Release candidate of thier browser Firefox 3. Mozilla has made several enhancements in this release compared to the release “Beta 5”. Some of the enhancements are really super impressive. Let’s see what’s in there for us…

One Click Site Info :  Though this feature looks stale for now, it could become “the” important feature for any website which deals with identities and trust based security. This feature examines the Extended Validation SSL certificates and tells the user if the website is from authentic company or not.

Anti-Virus Integration : Firefox will now handovers the downloaded executable to the local Anti-virus programs such as McAfee, OneCare to improve the security much more.

A better Download Manager : Download manager now can show the site from where you downloaded the file and file name too. The most wanted feature “Resume” is now available with this release of download manager.

Performance : Performance improvement is very much visible and you will literally feel it in applications like Gmail, Zoho. A new memory management module has been introduced to collect fragmented memory chunks and make it more performant.
